Former South African fast bowling legend, Dale Steyn, generously shared valuable tips to the Netherlands cricket team following their ICC World Cup 2023 warmup match against Australia on Sunday, October 1.
In a video posted by Cricket Netherlands on X (formerly Twitter), Steyn can be observed sharing his expertise with the Dutch players, focusing on ways to enhance their bowling skills.
“Guess who came down to the Creamy Beans Cafe for a Coffee and shared his immense knowledge of the game with the boys?” The legend @DaleSteyn62 himself," the caption posted by Cricket Netherlands.
Steyn has taken an impressive 699 wickets in 265 matches for the Proteas across various formats. He stands just behind former South African captain Shaun Pollock, who boasts 829 wickets in 423 matches, making him the highest wicket-taker in the country's history.
At 40 years of age, Steyn currently serves as the bowling coach for the Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Major League Cricket franchise Washington Freedom. He is part of the commentary panel for the competition.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands will play their opening game against Pakistan in Hyderabad on October 6.
